USG Corporation Plant Services Coordinator - Greenville in Greenville, Mississippi

_BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY:_ This position is accountable for providing the required leadership, technical, and communication skills required to manage the loading operations. This includes the loading of all wallboard products and warehoused goods, the unloading of finished product, paper, warehouse goods and raw materials, the removal of board products from the board line, all board warehousing functions and board waste handling.

_NATURE & SCOPE:_ Ensure that all Loading personnel comply with the company safety and housekeeping objectives.

Assist in the development, implementation and compliance of all USG Model Programs, safety rules, VWI’s and standard operating procedures for the Loading Department.

Responsible for the selection, training, and development of all hourly personnel to ensure department performance objectives and communications are maintained at a high level of excellence.

Responsible for establishing and enforcing loading practices necessary to ensure accurate loading of all board and warehoused goods including carrier trailer management and load assignment.

Responsible for the unloading of all raw materials and warehouse goods transfers department inventories.

Responsible for the organization, management, and safe stacking practices for all warehouse products under the accountability of the Loading/Administration Manager.

Accountable for training and development of all direct reports in the fundamentals of Best Class practices. This includes, but is not limited to, the identification of appropriate training programs, resources, and references as necessary. The training will also identify and implement uses of new/improved technologies and devices with the intent of supporting improved operational efficiencies.

_ACCOUNTABILITIES:_ 1. Executes the leadership and communication skills required to ensure the Loading Department complies with all State, Federal and Corporate safety rules and procedures. 2. Incorporates a safety minded approach into all aspects of the department, including the installation of new equipment or processes. 3. Promotion, maintenance and enforcement of a safety minded crew to afford an accident free operation. 4. Develops and trains direct reports to a highly skilled level to establish a viable number of internal candidates for future “key” leadership positions. 5. Implementation and maintenance of the LinX process to the standard of “Best in Class”. 6. Plans and schedules personnel and the expediting of materials in an efficient manner in order to experience the lowest possible costs. 7. Loads and ships products that will satisfy the customer and corporate objectives. 8. Supervises loading activities toward the achievement of productivity and cost objectives. 9. Evaluation and training of personnel to fulfill departmental needs on both long and short term basis.

  1. Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience is required.
  2. Strong leadership, effective verbal and written communication, decision making and people handling skills, and the ability to work in a diverse workforce environment.
  3. Business minded, people and results oriented, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.
  4. Self-starter, excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  5. Demonstrated ability to operate within a planned budget and hold costs within established goals.
